Governor Scott Walker Participates in 2013 Wisconsin Cyber Summit

Governor Scott Walker today participated in the 2013 Wisconsin Cyber Summit at Marquette University. The summit focused on ways states can work together to prevent and recover from cyber events. Attendees included leaders from the government, military, and cyber security industry.

"Cyber security is a continual threat to our nation and our state," Governor Walker said. "This Cyber Summit brings together industry and government officials to discuss potential threats and how we can work to improve cyber security at all levels. We need to be vigilant so our security is maintained."

Major General Dunbar is Wisconsin's Homeland Security advisor and is part of a thirteen-member council tasked with coordinating state and local prevention and response efforts as well as advising the governor on matters of homeland security. The council also prepares reports on the state of homeland security in Wisconsin.
